Pacquiao wins unanimous decision over Mosley

by admin on May 8, 2011

Manny Pacquiao won a lopsided 12-round decision over Sugar Shane Mosley on Saturday night, retaining his WBO welterweight title with his 14th consecutive victory.

Pacquiao (54-3-2) didn’t get the knockout he wanted, but the Filipino Congressman retained his position the most dominant and exciting fighter in the sport, methodically beating Mosley (46-7-1) at the MGM Grand Garden in Las Vegas.

Pacquiao knocked Mosley down with a left hook in the third round, a punch that seemed to sap Mosley’s willingness to engage. Pacquiao ran after Mosley the rest of the fight, but the former champion who has never been stopped in 18 years in the ring managed to finish the 12th round on his feet.

Pacquiao won 120-108 on one scorecard, 120-107 on a second and 119-108 on the third.

Well let me start by saying congratulations to manny for yet again beating an old champion Moseley you were great but years ago time to face your time is up let your fans remember you as a great fighter not like this and for the people choose manned fights come on stop giving him the easy way to the top it’s time to give us the viewers the people who pay to watch good fights a well deserved fight no more cowards like clottey or no names unexperienced fighters like Diaz no aged legends like Oscar or moseley or complete jokes and embarrassing fighters like hatton or slow ass fighters like margarito I mean come on how can anyone give manny credit when his fights are pathetic and everyone knows it your ruining the sport with these fights and it’s a waste of peoples money

ahh..you are just a plain hater. Even Pacquiao will beat the Klitschko brothers in a single fight, same words will come from your mouth.

It is a real waste of money. I can’t even believe that in Mannyy’s hometown Philipphines people can’t watch the match for free. They have. To pay PPV. This is Manny’s money making business. Ripping off poor filipinos what a shame.

My my, i really can’t fathom a hater’s way of thinking. I mean why waste your time watching Manny if you guys hate him a lot? Are you really wishing to see his downfall while watching, and in case he won, you’ll have a prepared so-called reason why he won. The guy won and he’s opponent has nothing to say… If you really hate him that much then just challenge him in his sport and do everything you can to make him kiss the floor instead of sputtering nonesense that literally serves no purpose since it proves nothing? You hate pacquiao but you have time to spend to try and rip him off of his glory and feel a little better about it. Really guys, that’s so pathetic in every aspect…. Godspeed.

I thought the fight was boring and disappointing. Pacquiao didnt put on the show he usually does…dont know if Mosley was just too defensive or Pacquiao is loosing it but there was nothing exciting about this fight! And I’m not a hater…i think Pacquiao is the best out there….but he was not on his game on Sat night.

first off, congrats to manny.. in my opinion, i thought the fight wasnt so interesting.. not because manny.. but it was obvious enough that on the 3rd. round when he knocked down mosley that must of got him good.. mosley wasnt trying to fight back.. it was more like he was running from the fight.. no hate on mosley, i was one of his biggest fan.. but this fight with him and manny disappointed me very much..big ups though for staying up through the whole 12 rounds.. but really mosley just put his fans down by not trying… trying to run or maybe trying not to get knocked out by the filipino boxer… mabuhay ka manny… kaya mo yan and i know you did your best to try and put up a show. but apparently your opponent is weak.. one love and no hate… just stating the true facts of the obvious…

The truth is, once you switch to MMA, there is no such thing as a good boxing match!
The sport is outdated.
